The Promise...

(LASU:1985 -1989)
The seedlings were sown in August of 1987 when the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International FGBMFI hosted one of their iconic breakfast meetings at the opulent Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, and I was invited to attend.
As a young third year student at LASU, of course I had to go.
And, I got more than I bargained for.
I found what I had been longing for all my life:
PURPOSE.
On graduating, I wrote the following in my thesis dedication:
I have known something
That is a former thing.
It was thut' to be
Until I realised
Thut's are not meant to be.
But surely I perceive
The Thuts He has for me
Which Will Be.
Those thoughts and divine purpose have taken me around the world and back. And, I am still going full throttle at it because He says so.
And as it turned out, the college I went to for further studies after I left LASU just happened be at the headquarter of the FGBMFI in Costa Mesa, CA, USA.

And it turn out that I happened to be at a meeting one evening where I met the founder of FGBMFI, Rev Demos Shakarian. We were both leaving the building when he stopped to give me some kind words of wisdom.
A few months later, Rev Demos went home to heaven, two days before his 80th birthday.
He left a great legacy of humble obedience for us all to live and pass on to those coming to faith all around us.
